Its May Day! One of my favorite anniversaries as a child. It came up once a year and meant my family had to spend a day together. It was a good enough day for us to be together as a family as long as it didn't last more than 24 hours.
This day means a lot to different people: for kids; it means a day away from school to play, for teens; its a day to be on your best behavior, for mum and dad; its a day to rest even if they don't really do that.
I don't sense a lot of excitement today, people aren't really in support of the working conditions, neither are the in support of the state of security in the state, even upon the life of young children in the country but nobody will complain about it.
So a day to relax and be grateful for is what most people will celebrate.
We need to remind ourselves that one of the ways to attain success in life is to be grateful for what we have been given and the universe will find a way to send us more blessings.
Don't ever doubt that things won't get better. They always do.
Happy Mayday Nigeria!
