STAR FOOD OF THE WEEK: TURKEY

Nutritional Benefits of turkey include:

1.       Turkey gives you 65 percent of your recommended daily intake of protein

2.       Turkey contains selenium which helps your antioxidant defense system to prevent cancer

3.       Turkey is rich in vitamins  B3 and B6 

4.       It has less saturated fats

• In this meal plan, I had the skin peeled off my turkey, to further reduce the fat contents.

THINGS YOU NEED TO START YOUR JOURNEY

The first step, which happens to be key, is to get up one day and decide to be fully committed to yourself. I said to myself,

• I  will  achieve  this.
• It  won't  be  impossible
• I  wont  be  miserable  because  of  the  pressure ,
• And  it  wont  be  expensive

So , my  first  steps were:

A. Buy  a  weighing  scale

This is  to  help  me  monitor  my  weekly  progress  as  I  go  on ,  and  I  can  easily  detect   if  a  meal  plan  is  not  working  well ,  and  quickly  track  back .  A  simple  weighing  scale  is  about  1000  to 1500  naira .  I  got  mine  at  Foodco  in  Ibadan ,  when  I  went  to  visit  my  in-laws .

MY MEAL PLAN

In order to get the most stress free result, I decided to be more specific about my food contents, and ingredients, trying to avoid cholesterol, sodium, and sugar. also, I am using the portion control method and what helps get over cravings the most, are fruits, granola bars, and lots of water. Therefore, I hardly have to count calories. I already did that while shopping for ingredients.
